Buca : Toronto, Canada
Buca has to be one of the best Italian restaurants in all of Canada, if not, the whole world. Every dish is extremely unique, well presented, and tastes heavenly. Their menu is constantly changing, with Chef Rob Gentile's creative ideas always emerging in the most innovative ways. The service is always impeccable and I can truly say I have never had a bad meal at any one of their establishments. From brunch at Bar Buca to Seafood dinner at Buca Yorkville it is always my go to restaurant when I wish to be impressed.
Pao by Paul Qui : Miami Beach, USA
Newly added to my list of favourites, Pao is most definitely deserving of its hype. Our server was so detailed when describing each dish I began to salivate before even tasting one morsel of food. We started with a dish that I couldn't have put together in my wildest dreams "Maguro & Olives." This dish consisted of a fresh tuna, ripe green olives, candied garlic and a slightly sweet sauce, it was absolutely delicious and perhaps one of the best dishes I've ever eaten in my life. Our entrée was savory and rich, the "Smoked Shortrib Asado" is basically wayguu beef slow cooked for 72 hours. Let's just say moist is an understatement.
Ristorante Max : Positano, Italy
Little quaint Ristorante Max's in Positano is the epitome of traditional Italian cooking. You can literally order any item off of their menu and be completely delighted with your choice. My friends and I were lucky enough to take a cooking class during their closed to public hours and what a special treat that was! We learned how to make our favourite dishes off the menu, zucchini stuffed with ricotta, authentic Italian tomato sauce and sweet zabaglione of course we then ate it all.
